Child’s First Dental Visit
We are excited to share our expertise in how to take care of these little pearly whites
Dental visits can be FUN!
The purpose of the first visit is to establish a positive relationship with you and your children. One way to convey good feelings to your children about dental visits is to remind them that going to the dentist is a sign that they are growing up! You can explain that Dr. Steve and his team will count and take pictures of their teeth.
Please communicate positive messages about dental visits. Please do not say that the dentist will not hurt as the idea may never have entered their minds. Instead, you may wish to assure your children that Dr. Steve and his team will be gentle and friendly. Avoid using threatening words like needle, shot, drill, or any other words suggesting unpleasantness.
Expect your children to do well and enjoy their visit to our office. Chances are they will do exactly that!
